Little Shop of Horrors
Little Shop of Horrors at The Forum Theatre - KS
A struggling floral assistant discovers a strange plant that promises fame and fortune in exchange for blood. Little Shop of Horrors takes the stage at The Forum Theatre on Friday, April 16, 2027 at 8:00 PM, bringing this darkly comic musical to Wichita. Seymour Krelborn's moral descent unfolds as the plant's appetite grows, turning innocent ambition into something far more sinister.
Alan Menken's music and Howard Ashman's book and lyrics create a world where doo-wop melodies meet Faustian bargains. The score wraps cheerful sounds around existential dread.
Live theatre lets you watch the comedy and uncomfortable choices develop together on stage. The carnivorous plant pulses with hunger as actors embody choices that grow darker with each scene. Every laugh cuts closer when you watch real people grapple with impossible decisions. The question at the heart of the show becomes uncomfortably personal: what would you sacrifice for everything you've ever wanted?
