About The Cotillion

The Cotillion is a general-admission concert and dance hall on the west side of Wichita at 11120 W. Kellogg. Built in 1960, the circular building holds a maximum concert capacity of 2,000 people under a 24-foot domed ceiling, with an 11,000-square-foot floating hardwood maple dance floor and a stage framed by a neon-lit band shell. The venue hosts touring concerts, comedy, dances, and stage shows, and is also available to rent for banquets, weddings, and corporate events. Most shows are standing-room general admission, with tables available around the room and bar service from two full bars plus satellite bars for larger crowds.

Plan Your Visit to The Cotillion

What are the seating options?

Tickets are general admission, standing-room-only, unless a specific show is advertised with reserved seating. Tables with seating are placed around the building; for select general admission shows, some tables can be reserved in advance for an additional fee, which does not include event admission—entry tickets must be purchased separately. Table sizes range from small (up to 4 guests) to medium (up to 6) and large (up to 10).

Reserved tables are marked with a plastic cover and a name marker and are held for that party for the event. The venue recommends claiming a reserved table by showtime, since tables become harder to identify once the lights go down. Any table without a cover or marker is open on a first-come, first-served basis at no extra charge. Table reservations can be made up until the day before the event, since same-day reservations aren't possible due to setup time.

Where can I park and how do I arrive?

The Cotillion provides free parking in its own privately owned lots, including accessible spaces near the front of the building. Because the former traffic light access at 111th Street is no longer available, visitors should enter using the frontage road from the Maize Road exit. When leaving, traffic exits westbound onto Kellogg; drivers needing to head east should continue west to 119th Street and use the designated U-turn.

Doors typically open one hour before the listed event time, unless a different time is posted on your ticket or the venue's event page.

What accessibility services are available?

The Cotillion describes its venue as fully ADA accessible, with accessible parking at the front of the building. Guests using wheelchairs may be offered early entry along with one companion when available; the venue asks that these guests arrive before doors open and notify security staff so arrangements can be made.

What can I bring inside?

Large bags and backpacks are not permitted inside the venue, and all bags and personal items are subject to search by security at entry, which also includes a light pat-down for all guests. Prohibited items include weapons of any kind, outside food and beverages, and outside flyers or promotional materials. There is no re-entry once a ticket has been scanned; plan to remain inside after admission.

Small point-and-shoot and cell phone cameras are generally allowed, but professional cameras, detachable lenses, and video equipment such as tripods or selfie sticks are not, unless the venue states otherwise for a specific show. Some artists may prohibit all photography, in which case signage will be posted at the doors that day.

How do I contact the box office?

The Cotillion's box office window is just inside the main entrance, in the lobby to the right after the first set of doors. Regular hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the box office is closed Sundays outside of event days and closed on major holidays. On event days, hours extend later, often through the end of the show.

Tickets can be purchased in person, online through the venue's website, or by phone through Etix, the primary ticket seller identified by the venue. Will-call pickup requires photo ID and is handled at the same box office window; mobile tickets can be scanned from a phone.

Are there age restrictions?

Most events at The Cotillion are all ages, though some shows may carry specific age restrictions noted on the event page. All patrons, regardless of age, need a ticket to attend. The venue enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy on underage drinking; anyone under 21 found with alcohol, or anyone supplying alcohol to a minor, will be removed without a refund.
