About Mosley Street Melodrama
Mosley Street Melodrama is an audience-participation dinner theatre in downtown Wichita, located at 234 N Mosley. Shows follow the classic melodrama format, with the audience encouraged to cheer the hero, sigh for the heroine, and boo the villain. The main melodrama is followed by an "olio," a musical-comedy revue of songs, dances, and comedy sketches. Guests can choose a dinner-and-show package with a home-style buffet and a full bar, or a show-only ticket. Standard performances are pitched as PG-13 and open to all ages, while separately advertised "Uncensored" shows are restricted to guests 18 and older.

What are the seating options?
Seating is assigned table-by-table as reservations come in, on a first-come, first-served basis. The venue will take table requests but cannot guarantee a specific table. If members of your group bought tickets separately and want to sit together, call the box office ahead of time so the request can be noted; asking to be seated together at arrival may not be possible depending on table capacities.
When do doors, dinner and the show start?
From February through November, Friday and Saturday evening shows have doors opening at 6pm, dinner served from 6:15 to 7:30pm, and the performance starting at 7:50pm. Select Saturday matinees run on a similar pattern earlier in the day: doors at noon, lunch from 12:15 to 1:30pm, and the show starting at 1:50pm. After Thanksgiving, the Christmas production shifts to a Wednesday–Saturday evening schedule (same door/dinner/show timing) with Saturday matinees continuing on the same pattern; there are no performances on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day. Always treat the dinner window as separate from the actual performance start time — the two are not interchangeable.
A typical evening runs long: the melodrama itself lasts about 50 minutes, followed by a 15-minute intermission, then the musical-comedy olio for another 45 to 50 minutes.
What booking options are available?
The theatre offers dinner-and-show and show-only options, with Floor and Standard seating tiers. Direct reservations can be made through the theatre online, by phone or in person. Review the terms for the booking method you use; the theatre’s direct-reservation policies and a resale marketplace’s purchase terms are separate.
What food and dietary options are available?
Dinner is served buffet-style, described as a hearty, home-style spread, alongside a fully stocked bar and complimentary popcorn. A vegetarian entree is available and can be paired with buffet side dishes. Guests with dietary needs beyond vegetarian are advised that a show-only ticket paired with a meal elsewhere may be the better option, since the kitchen cannot fully accommodate broader restrictions.
Are the shows suitable for children?
Regular performances are rated PG-13 for mild adult innuendo, and the theatre welcomes guests of all ages to these shows. Separately scheduled "Uncensored" performances carry an R rating and require guests to be at least 18 years old.

Mosley Street Melodrama FAQs
Is the dinner served at the same time as the show?
No. Dinner or lunch service happens before the performance, in a defined window after doors open, and the show itself starts afterward. For evening shows, doors open at 6pm, dinner runs 6:15–7:30pm, and the show starts at 7:50pm. Matinee timing follows the same pattern earlier in the day.
Will my group be seated together if we bought tickets separately?
Seating is assigned as reservations are made, so call the box office ahead of your visit to request that your party be seated together. Requests made upon arrival may not be possible due to table capacities.
Are the shows appropriate for kids?
Standard shows are rated PG-13 for mild adult innuendo but are open to guests of all ages. The separate "Uncensored" shows are R-rated and restricted to guests 18 and older.
Can the kitchen accommodate dietary restrictions?
A vegetarian entree is offered alongside buffet sides. For dietary needs beyond vegetarian, the theatre suggests eating beforehand elsewhere and purchasing a show-only ticket instead.
What are the box office hours?
The box office is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm, and closed Sunday and Monday. You can reach it by phone at 316-263-0222.
Can I attend without booking dinner?
