Banana Ball World Tour at Equity Bank Park

Baseball fans, ready to question a few familiar rules? The Banana Ball World Tour comes to Equity Bank Park in Wichita on Friday, May 14, 2027. This version of the game puts entertainment at the center, giving you a reason to get out to the ballpark and see what changes when convention takes a back seat.

Banana Ball uses a point-per-inning scoring system, bans bunting and replaces traditional walks. Those differences give longtime baseball followers something to compare with the game they know. You can follow the strategy, question the decisions and discover which parts of this alternative format make the most sense to you in person.

The fan-catch rule adds another unusual connection between the field and the stands: a fan's foul-ball catch can count as an out. It is a distinctive reason to pay attention beyond the usual boundaries of play, without needing to predict how a particular game will unfold. Bring someone who enjoys talking baseball and compare your reactions together.

The Wichita showtime is still unconfirmed, and the specific teams for your chosen date should be checked separately. Make your plans around this May 14 stop, then keep an eye on the event details as the visit approaches. Give a different kind of baseball outing a place on your calendar.
