Wichita Symphony Orchestra: Daniel Hege - Annie Get Your Gun In Concert at Century II Concert Hall At Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center
Wichita Symphony Orchestra: Daniel Hege - Annie Get Your Gun In Concert comes to Century II Concert Hall in Wichita on February 6, 2027 at 7:30 PM.
This collaboration brings together two of Wichita's premier arts organizations for a musical event that pairs orchestral precision with theatrical performance, delivering Irving Berlin's Broadway score in full symphonic form.
The story follows country girl Annie Oakley as she joins Buffalo Bill's Wild West show and meets star marksman Frank Butler. Berlin's score comes to life through live orchestra and voices, with the concert format placing the music front and center. You could hear the wit and heart woven into every number as the narrative unfolds through song.
This partnership between the symphony and Music Theatre Wichita creates something neither organization could produce alone. The concert adaptation honors both the theatrical tradition and the orchestral craft, with musicians and performers working together to bring Berlin's compositions to life. The focus remains on the music itself, performed by artists who know how to connect with Wichita audiences.
