Jane Eyre - The Musical

Jane Eyre - The Musical at The Forum Theatre - KS

Jane Eyre - The Musical brings Charlotte Brontë's timeless heroine to life with the power of live theatre. This five-time Tony-nominated production, recognized for Best Book and Best Musical Score, carries special meaning for Wichita. The first fully staged version premiered right here in 1996, produced by Kathryn Page Hauptman and directed by John Caird. Now the new version returns home on February 20, 2027 at 8:00 PM.

You could witness Jane's transformation from mistreated orphan to self-reliant woman take shape through the cast's performances. The journey centers on the haunting Thornfield Hall and its enigmatic owner, Edward Rochester. Every revelation pulls you deeper into a web of secrets and lies, danger and betrayal that threatens to unravel everything Jane has built.

This story goes beyond romantic tension. Jane faces heartbreaking loss and self-doubt that could destroy her, yet discovers reserves of self-knowledge and forgiveness most people never find. That restoration, played out through the music and lyrics of John Caird and Paul Gordon, connects with anyone who has ever had to choose between what is easy and what is right.
