Shucked

Shucked at Century II Concert Hall At Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center

Small-town grit meets Broadway brilliance when Shucked lands at Century II Concert Hall on Monday, March 8, 2027 at 7:30 PM. This Tony Award-winning musical comedy arrives in Wichita with corn puns, country charm, and laugh-out-loud moments that feel wonderfully absurd.

The Wall Street Journal calls it flat-out hilarious, and the creative lineup backs that up. Tony winner Robert Horn wrote the book, Grammy-winning songwriters Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally crafted the score, and Tony-winning director Jack O'Brien brought it all together. Clark and McAnally, the duo behind Kacey Musgraves' Follow Your Arrow, infuse this production with wit and melody.

You're stepping into a world where small-town storytelling collides with big theatrical laughs. Expect wordplay sharper than expected and songs that stick long after the curtain drops. This is theatre that celebrates the absurd and the earnest in equal measure, comedy that knows how to land a punchline and a melody in the same breath. If your next theatre outing could use a playful change of pace, start with this musical's unusual premise. Bring someone who enjoys comedy, let yourselves be curious and compare which parts of its small-town world connect with you afterward. Let a corn-fed musical comedy change up your theatre plans.
