Annie

Annie at The Forum Theatre - KS

Annie arrives at The Forum Theatre in Wichita on Saturday, December 5, 2026 at 8:00 PM, bringing seven Tony Awards worth of musical comedy to the holiday season. The Forum is polishing the storytelling for adults, challenging the idea that this beloved show belongs only to children. This production celebrates pluck and positivity as a determined orphan escapes into the wondrous world of New York City, turning obstacles into adventures.

The emotional pull comes from watching Annie foil the cruel Miss Hannigan, befriend President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and charm everyone she meets along the way. This is live theatre built on hope, love, and making dreams come true, themes that resonate deeper when experienced in a room full of others on the same journey. You can follow the cast's timing and reactions as the humor gives way to the more tender scenes.

The Forum promises Christmas magic that transforms a familiar story into something that steals hearts across generations. This is not nostalgia alone. The production earns its reputation through timeless storytelling that speaks to the dreamer in all of us, the believer who knows better days are ahead. Musical comedy lives in these shared moments, where a determined spirit turns every setback into opportunity.
