Annie
Annie at The Forum Theatre - KS
The Forum Theatre presents Annie on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at 8:00 PM in Wichita, offering a fresh look at the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical. This production challenges the idea that Annie is just for children, polishing the storytelling to engage adults with the timeless journey of a determined orphan navigating Depression-era New York City.
Annie escapes the cruel Miss Hannigan and befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in one adventure after another. The show explores themes of hope, love, and making dreams come true against the backdrop of 1930s hardship. Her search for her parents becomes a story about family, belonging, and resilience that resonates beyond any single age group.
The Forum Theatre describes this as Christmas magic of the best kind, blending the heart of the beloved story with sophisticated theatrical craft. The production runs December 3 through 20, 2026, with performances at various times including this Saturday evening show. You could experience live theatre designed to steal your heart while respecting your intelligence.
