Annie

Annie at The Forum Theatre - KS

This seven-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy invites you to rediscover the pluck and positivity of a story that refuses to be just for kids. The Forum Theatre polishes up the storytelling for adults, transforming a familiar tale into a sophisticated holiday celebration. On Sunday, December 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM, Wichita welcomes a Depression-era adventure where hope beats cruelty every time.

Watching Annie escape Miss Hannigan's orphanage and charm her way through the wondrous world of New York City delivers theatrical magic. She foils villains, befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and proves that determination can rewrite any destiny. Live theatre captures every escape, every scheme, every emotional triumph.

The production brings its hopeful story to the Christmas season. The holiday season becomes richer when you share it with a red-haired optimist who turns hardship into hope. It's a story that resonates differently when you're old enough to understand what resilience truly costs. Consider bringing someone who remembers discovering Annie for the first time, or someone who has yet to meet her. Seeing the story together offers a chance to compare what each of you takes from its optimism. Share Annie's adventures on a Sunday afternoon at the theatre.
