Annie
Annie at The Forum Theatre - KS
The Forum Theatre presents the seven-time Tony Award-winning musical comedy Annie on Friday, December 11, 2026 at 8:00 PM in Wichita. This production challenges the assumption that the show is merely for children, sharpening the storytelling to engage adult audiences. The Forum polishes this timeless tale of hope and making dreams come true, offering Christmas magic through live theatre.
Annie escapes into the wondrous world of New York City, foiling the cruel Miss Hannigan, befriending President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and charming everyone along the way. Each adventure reveals pluck and positivity woven into a story about finding family and love. The emotional journey lands differently when experienced alongside a live crowd sharing laughter and connection.
Theatre delivers immediacy that recordings cannot match. Voices carry across the room, emotions ripple through the audience, and the risk of live performance creates moments that belong only to those present. This December night at The Forum Theatre brings strangers together through a story they can watch unfold together on stage.
Watch how Annie responds to the adults around her, especially when their outlook differs from hers.
